Computer Doctor

It never ceases to amaze me how computer illiterate my grandparents and other people old than me are. In the past two days, I explained how to cut and paste a picture and text no less than 7 times. both of my grandmothers wrote down on a little piece of paper in very similar hastily written cursive every word that dropped off my lips. I try the simplest computer repair trick, restarting it, and my grandma is like, "now what did you just do?"

This gave me an idea. I figure that if old people are so computer illiterate, I should start a company that makes house calls to teach old people how to use computers. I haven't come up with the details of how this company would work, but it would be called "computer doctors." this is because my grandmother calls me a computer doctor, because I can fix her computer by looking at it funny. I dunno. I was talking to the people at my work today, and it's not their grandparents who are having trouble with their computers, it's their parents. This could be a pretty profitable enterprise. If anyone has ideas as to how to make this a working business, tell me. please.

In other news, I have a date on thursday night. I'm currently trying to decide what to do on said date, and wondering whether I should double with someone or just go single. suggestions are welcome. I'll post as to how this date goes.

you'd make more money just fixing the computer every time it breaks rather than teaching anything!

this is true. however, I was thinking I would just start a company to do such a thing. but... It gets really really annoying when they are completely illiterate. "fixing" the computer might be something as simple as pressing ok on an error message. charging money for that would just not be ethical.
